Being the world’s top flower producer, the Netherlands attracts visitors from all around the world every spring to witness the vibrant colors of the country’s most beautiful flowers. Located in the heart of Holland, Keukenhof is one of the world’s largest flower gardens. The park has more than 7 million bulbs in bloom every spring and is the perfect way to spend a day among the flowers. There is a huge variety of flowers on display in the many gardens and exhibits scattered throughout the park. There are flowers in every shape and color and somehow they manage to get even more beautiful around every corner.
We were lucky enough to arrive in the Netherlands during the last weekend that Keukenhof was going to be open for the 2015 season. The ideal time to visit Holland to see the gardens and tulip fields in full bloom is during April (we were there mid-May). Regardless, the flowers were still incredibly beautiful during our visit and I’m so glad we decided to start our trip in the Netherlands so we could witness the country’s stunning flowers. Of course, the best way to share our experience wandering through rows and rows of wonderful flowers is through photos. Pretend you’re strolling through Holland’s flower gardens and get ready for an explosion of color.
